Nature Walk

Cwm Idwal nature walk
What to expect?
- Walk starts 9:30 am.
- Walk last 3 hours (4Km).
We’ll explore Cwm Idwal’s wildlife, hear how the landscape has grown and changed, and look out for summer flowers and birds. We’ll meet up outside the Cwm Idwal visitor centre (LL57 3LZ) and then begin our walk at a gentle pace up to Cwm Idwal. As we walk around the lake we’ll stop to take a look at any interesting features we see. Halfway round the lake we’ll stop for a short break before slowly making our way back down to the visitor centre.
PLEASE NOTE: Any dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. The walk is free of charge.
What to bring?
We recommend wearing warm, waterproof clothing and appropriate footwear. Feel free to bring a snack and a drink with you, or you can buy something at the visitor centre.
Parking
The car park can fill up very quickly, so we advise you arrive in plenty of time. Alternatively there is a bus service (Traws Cymru T10) available from Bethesda and Capel Curig.
